We were keen to find something traditional and we found it here. I had the scallops to start and the other half had the langoustine soup. Both were delicious. We both went for the lamb which was incredible, the best food we had in Iceland. The staff were polite and helpful. A really nice, new restaurant with modern decor.

Prior to a little Geocaching, the troop dropped on here for a quick bite and were not disappointed. Beautiful fish dishes consumed included; Langoustine soup, pan fried Ling (oily fish) & cod, mum also tried the lamb….yummy.

We had scallops to start with on a bed of cauliflower purée and pea shoots, beautifully soft and super delicious! Followed with a delicious well cooked burger and well cooked fish on a bed of roasted vegetables. We didn’t have desert but opted for a lovely spicy Cabernet. Well worth the visit, and very friendly staff!

SALT is a family run restaurant with strong ties to the Icelandic fishing industry.
From our firsthand experience we know how to procure the highest quality of fish.
Therefore, opening a restaurant in an old fish processing plant and
fish net storage was almost to good to be true.
We are Icelandic to our core and we chose SALT to be our name to reflect our ties to the sea and it’s a bonus its spelled the same in Icelandic and English!Book a Table
Our Exclusive 2nd floor
SALT’s exclusive second floor is ideal for small and large groups.
Up to 50 people can dine on our second floor and 20 can be seated at our bar.
The floor is private, spacious and includes state of the art sound system,
a fire pit and private restrooms.
We offer a group menu, yet SALT is committed to fit the catering to your needs.
